We know that you, at any given moment in time, may have many patients under your care. We want to make it easy for you to have a snapshot view of where they are, what their status is and manage your workflow accordingly.

To that end, there are a number of timesaving actions you can take from the handover overview screen.

  1. Select the 'Handover' tab at the bottom of your screen

  2. Group patient list: From your patient list, you can  organise your patients using the 'Group By' sorting function. This gives you the option to group your patient list by: admission status, created date, location, speciality, team or ward

  3. Filter patient list: You are also able to filter your patient list so that you only see patients that are: assigned to you, unassigned (no-one on your team has yet taken primary responsibility for that patient) or patients that are assigned to another member of the team

  4. Mass actions: From this screen you can bulk update several patient handovers at once, rather than going into each individual patient record to do so. You can take several actions from this screen: Assign handover(s) to back to the team, assign handover(s) to yourself or change admission status of selected handover(s)

When assigning handovers back to the team, you will be asked to complete an update on each patient if their admission status, location or stability status have changed - along with any additional comments you may wish to add.

You can update each patient handover from within one overview screen as shown below:

You are also able to change the admission status for multiple patients at a time. If updating their status to 'discharged' you will be asked to enter discharge notes per patient from within a single screen. These discharge notes will appear as a new comment within the individual patient record.
